Hello! Welcome to my blog!

If you are here, it’s most likely because you know me in some capacity. This is my personal blog which may or may not develop any theme over a period of time. Let’s see. I plan to write and share with a frequency that feels natural to me, on topics that resonate with me. My main motivation for starting this blog is to get in the habit of writing a little more frequently to prevent my writing muscles from atrophying completely. I plan to enjoy the process. Beyond that, anything else is a bonus. Course, it would give me immense pleasure if you enjoyed and engaged with my posts. The Russian writer Anton Chekov, a doctor by profession, apparently said once that while medicine was his dutiful wife, writing was his enchanting mistress. Well, I am no Chekhov by any stretch of the imagination, but I would be delighted if writing were to develop as a hobby, become an enchantress.

The name of this blog is an obvious play on the name of the Russian novel The Master and Margarita. For no strong reason  really. First, it was available. Second, after playing around with different variations of my personal name, puns thereon, self-deprecating sobriquets, nothing really sounded too appealing.  Lastly, if there is some semblance of a logical rationale, it may be that personality wise, in terms of  life choices, I have tended to gravitate towards the middle. I have always wanted a little bit of this and also a little bit of that. The middle appeals to me, the middle ground in debates, the midfield on a soccer field, the middle road.

I won’t assume self-importance and bore you with the usual boiler plate disclaimer that all views expressed here are my own and so and so.. Of course they are! I will make my best efforts to make sure they are somewhat based on facts -:)
